Interim Paint Mix Room Process Engineer at GM's CAMI assembly plant for eight months of a 12-month professional internship: the engineer responsible for the systems that paint the Chevy Equinox, including on-call response when live production broke down.

What

The 2021 model year Equinox colours launched into mass production on schedule. Around the launch: 5+ contractor projects delivered on budgets over $500K, bidding processes built for work over $1M, and one energy improvement returning $40K a year.

How

Process monitoring that improved uptime and cut unplanned failures. Projects scoped, quoted, contracted, and supervised under corporate procurement standards with licensed trades: electricians, millwrights, pipefitters, sheet metal fabricators. Systems covered piping, pumps, valving, HVAC, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
